BOUQUET
Hello All If anyone as a sunflower in bloom, please can you let me know and I will come to photograph it … It seems I have missed out on a few blooms, because I was measuring time from my own plants which are just opening now, but these were the late “runts”!! If you have any images of your flower please send a hi res copy. However, incase your flower died before it was documented I have a Plan B, which involves photoshop and a further request for your collaboration!! Please could I photograph a floral printed textile you have in your home e.g. a dress, shirt, shorts, teatowel, duvet cover … any floral fabric you own and ask you to complete a wee label to describe it’s source?… I am aiming to make a composite image from the sunflower photos and details of textiles…have to have a play about with whatever this phase uncovers, and whilst playing with images, I am going to scrub the foyer and paint it (probably just neutral grey). Hoping to source some free paint from Hackney Scrap project, but if anyone has any other leads that I could follow, please let me know… If anyone wants to help with the scrub I’ll be doing it afew evenings this week, and hope to be painting the following week. Look forward to seeing some flowers soon Many thanks x

Photo of the Day: Hiking by Lake Minnewanka, Melissa Brandts and her husband stopped to take a photo by some rocks. Intrigued by the whirring sounds emanating from the camera, a curious squirrel popped into the shot just as the timer expired and the shot was taken.

BOUQUET
Hello All
Alex and I have been visiting all residents with tape measure, camera, new pots and soil…
So far we have found 2 lovely blooms, several plants towering over 1 metre and afew people starting again with smaller seedlings. Please remember to water once a day before bed time and do let us know if you need any support, and when your flower appears so we can return with camera.
Individual photos will be brought together in a large composite image (BOUQUET) and shown in foyer in late August/early September in advance of a big clean up and paint job.
I am running a printing/drawing/making creative session for all the neighbours’ kids on Sunday 26th July from 3 p.m to generate more flower images. If it’s sunny it will happen on the lawn, if it’s wet we will be in the foyer - you are all very welcome!
Thanks for all your green fingers!
Ashley
